Why I started this.
I was born and raised in Sydney. These days I split my time between Sydney and Ho Chi Minh City.
Spending time on both sides, I kept seeing the same thing. Australian businesses paying for layers of distributors and agents, for products made by factories they'd never heard of.
Vietnam has capable manufacturers. The hard part is knowing which ones are right for your product, and having someone there who can check. So that's what Hello Sourcing does: plain conversations in Sydney, practical ones on the factory floor, and a straight answer about whether going direct makes sense.

What does a Vietnam sourcing agent do?
A sourcing agent finds suitable manufacturers, compares quotations, checks the factories and manages production on your behalf. Hello Sourcing does this for Australian businesses from teams in Sydney and Ho Chi Minh City.
Do you work with businesses outside Sydney?
Yes. We work with Australian businesses anywhere in the country, including Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra, Hobart and regional areas. Most of the work happens by phone, email and video.
What kinds of products can Hello Sourcing source?
We assess products individually. Hello Sourcing is initially focused on manufactured goods such as furniture, fitout products, building/interior products, metal fabrication, plastics, packaging and similar commercial products.
Is manufacturing in Vietnam cheaper than buying locally or through a distributor?
It can be, especially when distributors or import agents sit between you and the factory. It depends on the product, quantities and freight. Our sourcing process is designed to find that out before you commit.
Do you manufacture the products yourselves?
No. Hello Sourcing identifies and manages independent Vietnamese manufacturers on behalf of clients.
Who pays the factory?
In most cases, the client contracts with and pays the manufacturer directly.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
Each factory sets its own minimums. We work with businesses buying in commercial quantities, and we tell you early if your volumes are likely to suit Vietnamese manufacturers.
Do you handle freight to Australia?
Hello Sourcing can coordinate with freight and logistics providers, but freight, customs, duties and other third-party costs are separate from Hello Sourcing's sourcing fees.
Can you visit factories?
Yes. Hello Sourcing is based in Ho Chi Minh City and can conduct or coordinate supplier verification depending on the manufacturer's location.
Can you guarantee savings?
No. Every product and supply chain is different. The purpose of the sourcing process is to determine whether a commercially attractive Vietnamese manufacturing option exists.
Do I need an existing product?
The service is best suited to businesses with an existing product, specification, drawing, sample or clearly defined requirement.
